Are you applying to hundreds of jobs but not hearing back? Working with third-party recruiters could be your ticket to a hidden job market with fewer competitors.
Here’s what you can expect from the process:
Recruiters and candidates can both initiate contact.
We oftentimes reach out to candidates, but don’t expect to connect that way. Be proactive and reach out to recruiters who specialize in your industry.
Make sure recruiters are legitimate before moving forward.
If a recruiter reaches out to you, make sure it’s not a scam. Research the firm they claim to work for and make sure they actually work there using LinkedIn or the company’s website. Research the firm’s reputation as well. Look for real reviews from candidates on sites like Google, not the firm’s website. Be just as thorough, whether they reached out to you or you are reaching out to them. Remember that candidates never pay recruiters. Companies do.
After you connect, a screening call will determine if a partnership makes sense.
If we call you for an initial screening, we’ll see if you’re a good fit for any of the jobs we’re currently working to fill. Our goal isn’t just to match you with the technical qualifications. It’s also to make sure that you’re a good culture fit. We will be up-front if we can’t help you. In that case, keep reaching out to other recruiters to see who has the right opportunity for you.
If we have an opportunity that looks like a good fit, we will do our best to get you hired.
After screening and verifying your qualifications, we will present you to the company that you would work for. We will keep things moving and advocate for you throughout the process. If you get the job, we win too, but the decision is really between you and the company.
If you get hired, we can help negotiate your offer.
We will work with you and the company that wants to hire you to negotiate things like salary, benefits, and PTO. We can only negotiate within the expectations set early in the process when we first connected with you.
Once you’re hired and onboarded, we’ll keep in contact to make sure that the transition is smooth.
